Many people are becoming more and more aware of the ability to filter and clean their drinking water, making sure they drink the purest, cleanest water. But not as many people consider filtering the water that comes out of their shower every day.
Even though it is not on as many people’s radar, there are numerous downsides to showering in unfiltered water. For one, there tends to be chlorine in tap water. Exposing your skin to that chemical can leave your skin dry, scaly, or irritated.
Installing a shower head filter will not only filter out chlorine, but it will also address the dirt, odor, or sediment coming out of your shower head. Unless your water system is seriously contaminated, there are not health risks to bathing in unfiltered water. But if you want to shower in the cleanest water possible and keep your skin as healthy as possible, consider installing a basic shower filter system.
