Light It Up!

uvfilter.pngThe water purification market has a wide variety of methods that you and your family can use to obtain the healthiest drinking water. Because water filtration has been a concern for quite a few years, all of these methods have become fairly commonplace. Water filters, for example, are attached to many faucets across the country, filtering out both carbon and microscopic bacteria.

One of the newer items hitting shelves, however, is the UV water purifier. Alone, this system does not use a filter, but instead utilizes UV light. By exposing the water to UV light, UV water purifiers kill bacteria and viruses without adding any taste, color, or odor to your drinking water. It has been shown to be one of the most effective and cost-effective methods with which to kill microscopic organisms.

Because UV light does not kill all the dangerous contaminants in water, it is most often paired with another form of filtration such as a filter that can catch items like heavy metals or chlorine.

shower.pngMany people are becoming more and more aware of the ability to filter and clean their drinking water, making sure they drink the purest, cleanest water. But not as many people consider filtering the water that comes out of their shower every day.

Even though it is not on as many people’s radar, there are numerous downsides to showering in unfiltered water. For one, there tends to be chlorine in tap water. Exposing your skin to that chemical can leave your skin dry, scaly, or irritated.

Installing a shower head filter will not only filter out chlorine, but it will also address the dirt, odor, or sediment coming out of your shower head. Unless your water system is seriously contaminated, there are not health risks to bathing in unfiltered water. But if you want to shower in the cleanest water possible and keep your skin as healthy as possible, consider installing a basic shower filter system.

Water reaches the skin last; if your body does not get enough water, your skin will feel the effects more than any other organ. Water can help hydrate the skin, leaving it smoother, softer, more supple and more wrinkle-free.

Now you have made the decision to add water: make it the best water, espring water.

drinking waterWhile visiting a friend this past weekend, I realized again that bad water equals bad coffee.   My friend uses the same coffee as I do but does not currently have an espring.  The chemicals and particles left in the water dramatically changed the quality of the coffee.  I am sure this applies to all the beverages and food that use water in their preparation.  Good water equals good Coffee.
